Student's Use of Technology

In my fifth grade classroom I worked with a student and introduced Blogs to her. She really liked the idea of using Blogs for school purposes and was very eager to get started. She wrote a summary of the book and then decorated it as she pleased. This is the summery she came up with:

Half Magic

I read the book Half Magic by Edward Eager. Four kids; Jane, Mark, Katherine, and Martha find a nickel, if you want to call it that, that grants a wish, well half a wish. They keep getting half of their wishes, (for example, Jane wishes a house would catch on fire. Then, suddenly a playhouse catches on fire!) Until they find out that you have to wish your wish twice for the whole wish to work. All of their full wishes are successful, until Jane and Martha wish the unexpected!
